Welcome! We at B.S. Ricks Memorial Library are so glad you found us. We may be on the National Register of Historic Places, but our philosophy is completely modern.
This past year, over 46,235 of you visited us. Our public access computers were used over 10,000 times and our free wireless internet was used well over 3,200 times.
Additionally, our meeting rooms were used 149 times by 1,587 people and we answered 1,788 reference questions.
On average, we receive almost 30 new patrons per month. This is pretty impressive considering our public library building has served Yazoo County since 1902 and the total population of Yazoo County is under 28,000.
Come visit us! We’ll be happy to give you a tour of the oldest library in continuous use in Mississippi, assist you with your genealogy project, help you with your resume, recommend a good book, assist you with your research project, let you use one of our meeting rooms, show you a comfy spot to use our free wireless internet…… and the list goes on!
